Power Metal

Name «power metal» appeared first time in the United States in the early to mid 1980's. So called music of groups such as Manowar, Virgin Steele, Manilla Road, Iced Earth, which nowadays usually referred to as speed-metal or heavy metal. These groups have been the prototype for the modern power metal, giving it the speed, energy and military-historical aesthetics.
